Classic Cars return to Vilamoura

The organiser of the popular annual classic car parade that takes place every year around Vilamoura Marina has confirmed that it will return again this year, on 12, 13 and 14 July.

“The number of cars expected to take part this year will be similar to numbers in recent years, around 150, and our website will be updated with more information shortly” Luís Brito, organisers of Algarve Classic Cars told The Portugal News.

Last year 160 vehicles took part in the event, which was the 20th Classic Car parade, departing from Vilamoura Marina and driving across the Algarve to the race track in Portimão.

The gathering has become a key event on the Portuguese Automobile and Karting Federation’s agenda, as it has on the International Federation for historic Vehicles’ (FIVE) calendar.

Thousands of enthusiasts flock to the Algarve to see or show the gleaming vehicles, which are displayed along the Marina for all to admire.
